As Foster Care Awareness Month comes to a close, we want to say thank you.

Thank you to every foster parent opening your home, every social worker carrying heavy caseloads, every volunteer serving behind the scenes, every donor giving generously, and every person who has prayed for children and families in crisis.

This month shines a spotlight on foster care, but the needs don't disappear when May ends. Children will still enter care. Families will still need support. Foster parents will still need encouragement. Social workers will still be working tirelessly on behalf of vulnerable children.

At our foster closet, we have the privilege of seeing our community come together to meet these needs every day. Every donated outfit, every pack of diapers, every volunteer hour, and every act of kindness reminds foster families that they are not alone.

Most of all, we are grateful for the opportunity to be the hands and feet of Jesus to children and families during some of their hardest moments.

As we move beyond Foster Care Awareness Month, we invite you to continue the journey with us. Keep praying. Keep serving. Keep showing up. Together, we can make a difference—one child, one family, and one act of love at a time.

This week we had the honor of hosting a social worker appreciation luncheon. 💙

Not only did we get to celebrate the incredible social workers who pour so much of themselves into children and families every single day, but we also got to welcome them into our space.

These social workers carry heavy loads, long hours, hard decisions, and hearts full of compassion. We are so thankful for all they do behind the scenes for children in foster care.

It was a blessing to share a meal, and give them a glimpse of the space that will continue serving foster families in our community.

We are grateful for every person who has helped make this foster closet possible, and we pray this new space will continue to be a place of hope, support, and the love of Jesus for every child and family who walks through the doors.

Today we honor the biological moms, the foster moms, the adoptive moms, the stepmoms, the grandmas raising babies, and the women who mother children through love, sacrifice, and faith every single day.

Motherhood doesn’t always look the same, but every story carries its own kind of beauty, heartbreak, strength, and grace. Some mothers are parenting the children they gave birth to. Some are loving children they didn’t. Some are missing children they can’t hold today. Some are sharing motherhood in complicated and painful ways.

To the moms showing up day after day with tired eyes, open arms, and hearts full of love — you matter deeply.

And through every kind of motherhood, we see the heart of Jesus: patient, compassionate, sacrificial, and full of love.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the women carrying the weight and blessing of motherhood in every form.
