The Salvation Army of Mankato will distribute warm winter clothing to community members in need during its annual Bundle Me Warm winter wear distribution on Wednesday, October 14, and Thursday, October 15, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
The distribution will take place in The Salvation Army Worship Center at 700 S. Riverfront Drive in Mankato, with access through Door G.
Anyone in need of warm winter wear is welcome to attend. This is an in-person event, and participants must be present to receive winter wear. This allows The Salvation Army team to connect directly with individuals and families, learn more about their needs, and help connect them with additional resources and services when appropriate.
All winter wear available through Bundle Me Warm consists of gently used items generously donated by members of our community.
βWinter in Minnesota can be especially difficult for individuals and families who may not have adequate warm clothing,β said Leslie Johnson, Business Administrator for The Salvation Army of Mankato. βBundle Me Warm is one of the ways our community comes together to make sure our neighbors have what they need to face the cold months ahead. Just as importantly, being together in person gives us an opportunity to connect with people, hear what they are experiencing, and make sure they know about other resources that may be available to them.β
The Bundle Me Warm program is made possible through the generosity of community members who donate new and gently used winter clothing. These donations help The Salvation Army provide practical assistance to individuals and families throughout the Mankato area.
No appointment is necessary. Participants must be present to receive services. Winter wear will be available while supplies last.
