Artists of Tomorrow Kid Classes for NOV were just posted!!! Check out what we have lined up for next month!

Sat mornings 10-11:30am
classes for ages 6-12 years old. Older kids are more than welcome too, as long as they're respectful with little kids around.
10 students per class

Tickets are $15, and we have 4 FREE tickets available for low-income families.
We have had so much interest in our kid's classes the last couple of months that we are now starting to do waitlists for our classes once they fill up, so please get in touch with us at [email protected] if you need to cancel or would like to be put on the waiting list

A couple pictures from Abigail Kimble's Artists of Tomorrow Class, where the kiddos were making blooming paper flowers that were "dyed" by water being pulled up and absorbed into the paper which in turn spread out the pigment from the water soluble markers. Abigail even inspired the students to set intentions of gratitude by writing in messages onto the flowers that they were intending to gift others in their lives or to keep as reminders of those loved one. Very cool project yall!

Photos have been streaming in over the course of the last couple days from our Taste of Makerpace Class Sampler Event from the other week and we couldn't be more thrilled with the turn out. Thank you to all of our Instructors, Volunteers and Students that made that night so magical!

We will be having 9 mini class stations for you tonight- Make sure to bring a Cotton T-Shirt or Tote to print on for the Screen Print station. We will have a couple shirts for buy but sizes are not guaranteed.

Mankato Makerspace is thrilled to announce a new round of funding for our Art For All Scholarship Program! Anyone interested in taking classes or becoming a member is now eligible to apply for up to $450 in assistance.

We're also launching a scholarship portal so you can stay in touch with your application status, see scholarship awards, and get help with using your scholarship. We've made it easier than ever for anyone to have access to Mankato Makerspace! We expect 50+ community members will be able to take advantage of these funds over the next 12 months. This round of funding came from an Arts Education Grant program from the Minnesota State Arts Board which we were awarded in September. This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.

Curtis Loe has been hard at work in the ceramic shop of late. Look at how cool this moss planter/ vase combo is, as well as his other creations. Great work hun, keep it up, you bring sunshine and a warm vibe to the space every time you are in.
