Please join us in welcoming Sophia Poquette as Minnesota Pork's 2026 Marketing and Communications Intern!

Sophia is an upcoming senior at Iowa State University majoring in agricultural communication with minors in animal science and public relations. Growing up on a livestock farm in southeast Minnesota, she brings a strong passion for agriculture, communications, and sharing the stories of Minnesota pig farmers.

Throughout the summer, Sophia will help support a variety of projects, including:
- Helping host the Young Leaders in Agriculture Conference
- Creating content for social media, newsletters, and our website
- October Pork Month planning
- Coordinating volunteers and supervisors for our booths at the Minnesota State Fair

"Growing up on a small livestock farm in southeast Minnesota, I've seen firsthand the dedication, innovation, and stewardship that define family farming," Sophia said. "I am inspired by Minnesota Pork's mission to advocate for producers and connect consumers with the people behind the product."
