This event is open to the entire family so bring friends, siblings, grandparents, everyone! It's nine innings of fantastic family fun!

Saturday, June 13, 2026, the Mankato MoonDogs take on the Bismarck Larks and it's sure to be a game that "Knocks It Out Of The Park!" It all happens at ISG Field, 601 Reed Street in Mankato, Minnesota beginning at 5:30 PM.

The evening kicks off with an opportunity to participate in the opening flag ceremony on the field. Proudly represent your Scout Unit as you help start the game in true patriotic fashion, then settle in to watch an exciting MoonDogs baseball game from the stands. Please wear your uniform for participation in the flag ceremony and arrive at the field by 5:00 PM to 5:15 PM to line up.

Throughout the game, enjoy plenty of laughs and highenergy entertainment with Mutnik, the MoonDogs’ beloved mascot, whose fun antics keep the crowd smiling all night long. No need to worry about dinner -- a dinner voucher is included, making it easy to focus on fun and fellowship.

But the excitement doesn’t stop when the final out is called! After the game, Scouts are invited to camp overnight in the outfield, creating a one-of-a-kind ballpark sleepover experience. As night falls, relax and enjoy a movie on the big screen, right from the field. Of course, no campout is complete without treats -- Scouts get to make and enjoy a classic s’more under the stars. To top it all off, every participant receives an awesome Scout Night tshirt, a perfect souvenir to remember this incredible experience. Please select size when registering.

In the morning, campers can grab a bagged breakfast before packing up and heading home by 9:00 AM, wrapping up a fun-filled night of friendship, baseball, and Scouting spirit. COST is $30.00 per person.

This Earth Week, Pack 171 rolled up their sleeves and helped make a difference in our community! 🌎♻️

Our Scouts spent some time at the local park collecting trash. From picking up litter along the trail to clearing debris from grassy areas, their teamwork and dedication truly showed.

Beyond just cleaning up, the Scouts learned an important lesson about caring for the environment and taking responsibility for the world around them. Small actions can lead to big change, and Pack 171 proved that every effort counts.

We’re proud of these young leaders for stepping up and making our park a cleaner, safer place for everyone. Great job, Pack 171!

🔥 7 FACTS: Why Scouting Is the Perfect Complement to Athletics

For parents raising athletes—and leaders.

1. Scouting builds mental toughness.
Team sports build discipline. Scouting builds grit. From overnight camping to leading under pressure, Scouts learn to push through when it matters.

2. Scouting doesn’t compete with sports—it works around them.
Scouting schedules are flexible. Troops and packs understand sports seasons and adjust. Your kid can—and should—do both.

3. Scouts learn leadership on and off the field.
Scouts plan trips, lead teams, and take responsibility. These are the same qualities that turn players into captains and role models.

4. Scouting encourages physical activity.
Hiking, swimming, kayaking, backpacking—Scouting builds endurance, agility, and coordination. All things athletes need.

5. Scouting teaches self-discipline without a scoreboard.
There’s no coach yelling plays. Scouts set their own goals and push themselves. That mindset creates unstoppable young people.

6. Scouting teaches how to win—or lose—with character.
Whether earning a badge or missing a rank, Scouts learn to stay humble, respectful, and hungry to improve.

7. Not every kid goes pro—but every Scout gains life skills.
Scouting fills in the gaps: public speaking, first aid, service, project management, resilience. Skills that last long after the game ends.

Let sports build the body. Let Scouting build the leader.
They don’t compete. They complete each other.
