🚒🔥 A Day at the Fire Department! 🔥🚒
Last week our youth had an exciting opportunity to visit the Fire Department and get a behind-the-scenes look at what firefighters do on a daily basis!
From exploring the fire station and learning about the equipment they use to hearing about the many responsibilities firefighters have beyond responding to fires, our youth gained a firsthand look at the important work these everyday heroes do for our community. 👨‍🚒🧯🚒

We had an amazing opportunity to visit the Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Department and learn more about the important work being done to keep our community safe! 🚓👮 👮‍♀️
During our visit, the youth were able to learn more about how dispatch works, ask questions, and gain a better understanding of what happens behind the scenes when someone calls for help. 📞🚨
We are so thankful for the opportunity to connect with the Sheriff’s Department and give our youth a firsthand look at the important work they do every day. Every question asked is an opportunity to learn, grow, and build confidence! 💙🧡💜

We discovered all the creatures of Bay Beach Wild Life Sanctuary last Friday!

We challenged the kiddos to find new & interesting facts, take time to read through some of the nature centers learning plaques and get hands on each chance they could!

Experiences like this helps our youth discover new interests, and learn that there is always something new waiting to be explored! 🐾 🌍

Thank you Piggly Wiggly!

Our youth were able to learn more about our local grocery store and how it has many different jobs—not just cashiers and stockers.

They learned about management, customer service, and watched bakery, deli, and produce in action and then seen the inventory, receiving, and more!

It was a great example of how many people must cooperate to successfully serve others and how team work plays a huge role!

Our youth had the opportunity to visit a dairy farm and experience firsthand where some of the foods we enjoy every day come from!
From learning about caring for cows and the hard work that goes into running a farm to seeing the milking process up close, it was an experience filled with curiosity, questions, and hands-on learning!

Yesterday we were able to explore and gain education from the Manitowoc Police Department!

We all used patience and took turns asking questions, sharing information and learned more about the education, training, physical requirements, and different jobs within a police department.

We gained relationship skills by knowing and learning what to approach, and initiate a conversation with officers of the community and were able to talk about ways young people can contribute positively to their neighborhoods.

What a cheesy way to start the week! 🧀
We visited the Henning Cheese factory and was able to explore old tools, and learn about the process of making cheese. 🐄
All the photos really brought a personal touch to seeing their history and how they’ve grown in the community over the years!
The employees were so kind to wave and spray the windows to interact with the kids while they cleaned up and we talked about sanitation. 🧼

As summer begins to wind down, we're making every moment count! ☀️

Our youth have been out in the community, building friendships, practicing social skills, exploring new places, and creating memories that will last long after summer ends. Every outing is an opportunity to learn, grow, and gain confidence in real-world settings.

Here's to finishing summer strong and heading back to school with confidence, new experiences, and plenty of smiles! 💜🧡💙

At Soaring for Success, we believe learning happens far beyond the center or a classroom. Every adventure helps our youth strengthen social skills, build confidence, develop independence, and discover new interests in a fun, supportive environment.

Our youth had the opportunity to learn about our foods journey from the farm to the store, watch a birth begin and have meaningful conversations about the history of agriculture.
Some enjoyed fishing, whether it was catching fish, finding peace among the patience, or enjoying the weather, they had a meaningful and mindful experience.

To top it all off, we attended a Touch-a-Truck event thanks to our local library! Climbing into emergency vehicles, construction equipment, and service trucks gave our youth a chance to explore careers, ask questions, and interact with the incredible professionals who help keep our communities safe and running every day.

Thank you to everyone who helps make these opportunities possible. We can't wait to see where our next adventure takes us! 💙🧡💜
