🐱 A win for and the people who love them! 🐾 We're excited to see HB26-1198 signed into law, creating a program that allows eligible unused veterinary prescription medications to be donated to shelters and veterinary practices where they can be safely re-prescribed to pet in need at no cost.

We know firsthand how unexpected veterinary expenses can become a challenge for many families. By helping make medications more accessible, this new law can help more cats get the care they need and stay with the people who love them.

When we support pet families, we help keep cats healthy, happy, and at home—right where they belong ❤️

🌈 Come see us this Saturday & Sunday at Pikes Peak Pride downtown Colorado Springs! We have been assigned booth space 420 😄🌿 and we’ll be in the north east corner of the Pioneer Museum lawn (see map in comments).

Our amazing volunteers have been creating personalized merchandise just for this event! As usual, all donations and sales will benefit the kitties in our care ❤️🐾

We work with a lot of fearful cats. Cats who've been abandoned, neglected, or just haven't had many positives in life. Even small things can matter so much. A sturdy box to hide in. A surface to scratch. A toy that smells like catnip. These aren't luxuries, they are comfort. Safety. A way for a stressed cat to start feeling well again and to bring along to their new furever homes to make the transition less scary.

That's why we're excited to share that we have joined "Give a Cat a Box" by Hide & Scratch, a donation program built specifically for rescues like us 😻 This program is different because it is priced for donations. The more you give, the lower the cost per box (shipping costs are spread across multiple units vs charged per item like on other big online retailers). That means your donation reaches more cats. And your dollars go even further the more you donate.

🐾 A $20 donation gets 1 box to a cat who needs a safe space to curl up and feel secure
🐾 A $40 donation sends 2 boxes + toys ($60 retail value)
🐾 A $150 donation sends us a full case of 15 boxes (just $10 per box!)

More boxes = more hiding spots, more scratching surfaces, more moments where a scaredy cat finds a safe corner and starts to relax.
