We hold our meetings at the Forest City Campground Park building and we are chartered by the Manito-Forest City Rotary Club.

With the incredible weather at Ingersoll Scout Reservation as their backdrop, Pack 174 unleashed their full potential this weekend, acquiring vital skills and lifelong memories through tent-pitching, fire safety education, fishing, and games, creating a truly unforgettable experience. We're deeply indebted to our Scouts' families for their tireless support in making this weekend a phenomenal achievement for Pack 174.

Anyone remember this flyer being sent home in your child’s backpack! Wow! The community responded and we had a very successful enrollment this fall with several new Scouts and a couple more still to sign up. We have multiple Scouts in each grade (Den) except 4th grade, we only have 1 Scout. If you have a 4th grader who is interested, or any child, kindergarten to 5th, please reach out. You can join at any time.

Pack 174 is at it again! We have started our first fundraiser this fall and it’s the ever popular Butter Braid Pastries, Wooden Spoon Cookie Dough, and Show Me Dough Pizzas. You can scan the QR code and order online or find any one of the Pack 174 Scouts and order directly from the them. The Scout can take cash or check payment at time of order. Deliveries will be made early November.

2025 Pekin Cub Scout Day Camp. Some of our Pack 174 Scouts joined several other area Scouts for a week long day camp in Mineral Springs Park. Each day they participated in different activities such as archery, BB guns, STEM experiments, zip line, and more.

Last weekend was our first Pack 174 camping trip. We spent Saturday and Sunday at the Ingersoll Scout Reservation in London Mills. The Cub Scouts practiced many new skills, tent setup, food prep, cooking, hiking, fishing, compass use and many others.
