The Manistee Board of Commerce was incorporated on January 29, 1916. It was formed to promote the welfare of the City, County of Manistee, and the surrounding territory. In 1944, some of the activities the Chamber was involved in were: airport development, civic improvements, harbor and river development, parks and recreation, post-war planning, retail trade, transportation and highways, and touri

sm. In 1965, the Chamber built and moved to 11 Cypress Street and in 2021 has relocated to 400 River Street. Over the years, the Board of Commerce evolved into the Manistee Area Chamber of Commerce.

Looking for a great summer activity for young golfers?⛳️ This 4-day Junior Golf Clinic is a fun and welcoming way to learn the fundamentals of the game!

Hosted by Manistee National Golf & Resort, the clinic runs June 22–25 and is open to boys and girls of all skill levels. Over four consecutive days, participants will receive hands-on instruction focused on building confidence and learning the basics of golf with PGA Professional Denis Meikle.

What a wonderful afternoon celebrating the completion of exciting improvements and upgrades at The Rec at Sands Park! ✂️🎉

This project was led by the Manistee Area Leadership Program Cohort as their community impact project, bringing together local leaders, volunteers, businesses, and supporters with a shared commitment to making a lasting difference in our community.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the ribbon cutting and helped bring this vision to life. The enhancements to The Rec at Sands Park are a testament to the power of collaboration, leadership, and community investment, and will be enjoyed by residents and visitors for years to come.

Congratulations to the Manistee Leadership Program Cohort on a project well done and thank you for your dedication to strengthening our community!
