Friends of the Library wish to thank everyone who supported our book recent book sale by attending and purchasing books, and also all the donations of books, puzzles, DVD's and CD's that made the sale a success. The weather was great and shoppers left with bags of treasures. As always, the money earned will benefit library programs and other needs. Thanks for coming.

The Friends of the Manistee County Library will be hosting a book sale on July 3 from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m on the library lawn!

Donations for the sale will be accepted at Manistee Main circulation desk from Monday June 15 through Thursday July 2 at 1 p.m. As always, we ask that you please only donate books that are in good condition. We cannot accept old textbooks, encyclopedias, magazines, books with odors, or books that are brown with age.

The Friends of the Manistee County Library are happy to accept fiction, non-fiction and children's books in good, sell-able condition. CDs, DVDs and puzzles are also accepted.

If you have more than 2 large bags or boxes to donate, please call the library (231-723-2519) in advance to arrange a drop-off time.

Hello Friends, there is a Friends' meeting scheduled for Wed, May 13th, at 1PM in the meeting room at the library. We will be having a book sale on July 3rd at the library lawn, in connection with the Forest Festival, and this meeting will be to work out the details for this project. If you are interested and would like to help at this sale please come to the meeting and learn the details. We welcome all volunteers. If you can't come to the meeting but would like to help at the sale, message us and we will get back to you.

Another successful book sale completed and we would like to thank everyone who came to shop and find treasures to take home. We would also like to thank all the people who so generously donated books, puzzles, and DVD's for the sale. If you didn't have a chance to get to the sale, there are still plenty of good books, etc, to choose from. You can find them on our sale table in the front entrance hall of the Manistee Library starting on Tuesday. Again, thank you everyone for supporting the Friends of the Library, and thus many library programs which we donate the money to.

A book sale is coming

Do you have books that have been piling up that you would like to donate? Since we are having a book lover's sale on Feb 14th we will now be accepting larger donations on Feb 10th through the 13th. If you have just a few books to donate you can bring them in anytime now and the library staff will accept them for our front hall sale table. While we would like to have a longer time to accept larger donations it is not possible due to a lack of storage space at the library. Also a reminder, please only bring books in good condition, and we also accept DVD's, CD's and puzzles.

First meeting of the new year on Wed, the 14th at 1PM at the library. If you are interested in becoming a Friend, this would be a good time to join us. Planning for the new year is on the agenda. Everyone is welcome.
