Wilwin Lodge at Cygnet Cove has reached out to me. Cabin 5, an ADA Cabin, is supported by our District and is in need of items. No one from our District has been there in 5 years. They need linens, new pots and pans, dishes, and silverware, some small appliances, among other things. I see the Ludington American Legion Auxiliary is stepping up, and I will be in contact with Barb & Duane Miller to determine what will be needed. Among other things, during the June 8th meeting, I will ask the Auxiliary for donations of items they need. Their season has just opened, and they need these items to provide a safe environment for the veterans who stay there. Think about what you feel would be appropriate. Thank you, Debi. Over the years, we shared a lot of conversations, laughs, frustrations and stories. He cared deeply about the Post, the people in it, and the veterans around him. Even while battling cancer(hidden from the world) he still found ways to stay involved and help where he could.
People will remember the titles he held and the roles he filled, but I’ll remember the person. The stubbornness, the humor, the loyalty, and the fact that no matter what was going on, Brian was always unapologetically himself.

🇺🇸 Memorial Day Service & Luncheon 🇺🇸
The American Legion Post 10, located at 10 Mason St. in Manistee, will host a Veterans Memorial Day Service following the downtown Manistee Memorial Day events on May 25.

The American Legion family warmly invites everyone to attend a luncheon dedicated to honoring and remembering the veterans who served before us. This gathering is an opportunity for our community to come together, reflect on their legacy, and show our gratitude for the sacrifices made by so many.🇺🇸
There is no charge for the luncheon.
