Sunday at 2:00 at Taylor Park in Manhattan is the MLB Pitch, Hit and Run.

The event will probably go till 4:00 or so. This is a FREE friendly competition that Gallatin Valley Baseball and Manhattan Baseball have put on for several years, where the kids get to compete against one another and showcase their skills.

After the event, we upload their scores to MLB, and they have the potential of moving on to a regional event. We had a player last year (for his 2nd time) go to a regional event in Seattle during a Mariners game, and won it!

Gallatin Valley Baseball is hosting tryouts for the G.V. All-Star League this Saturday, May 2nd, at Magris Field in Three Forks. Times depending on age group:

14u - 9am
13u - 10am
12u - 11am
11u- 12pm
10u - 1pm
9u - 2pm

Please get there 10 or 15 minutes early to register. Dress in baseball gear and bring cleats, glove, cup, and a bat and helmet if you have one. If not, we can provide some. Also, Three Forks will have full concessions open that day, including breakfast burritos and burgers!

Manhattan Baseball is gearing up for another great season, and we’re looking for new and returning umpires to join us!

Whether you’re brand new or have umpired in past seasons, our upcoming Umpire Training Clinic is the perfect way to get ready. These paid opportunities are available for youth and adults.

Clinic details:
Tuesday, April 7th
6:00 to 7:30 PM
Taylor Park in Manhattan

If you’ve umpired before, come refresh your skills and help set the tone for another fantastic season.

If you’re new, this is a great opportunity to learn, get involved and earn money doing something you enjoy.

Who can umpire?
Age requirements vary by level:
• Field umpires for Minor games: minimum age 13
• Plate umpires for Minor and Major games: minimum age 16
• Senior level umpires: ages 16 to 18 and older depending on position

The clinic will be led by Joe Vasarella, a longtime Legion umpire who led last year’s clinic as well.

Thank you to everyone who registered for Spring Baseball! We are excited to share that we’ve seen an increase in player registrations this year, which is wonderful for the program and our community.

At the Minors level (ages 9–10 as of May 1, 2026), we had enough players sign up to form two teams. Per the rules and guidelines of our league, a player evaluation is required in order to divide teams fairly.

Teams need to be formed as soon as possible, so we apologize for the short notice and hope as many players as possible can attend the Minors Player Evaluation this Tuesday at Taylor Park at 4:30 PM.

All other age levels (T-Ball, Rookies, Majors and Seniors) *do not* need to attend the evaluation. Teams are being organized and coaches will be in touch shortly.
