Did you know that each year our FFA officer team plans 15 unique activities to be included in our chapter’s POA (Program of Activities)? The officers execute these items each year, with 5 of those activities related to building leaders in our chapter/school, 5 activities that helped strengthen our community, and 5 activities that helped to teach others about agriculture. The success of these activities is measured against other chapters in our state. The top 10% are recognized as outstanding programs in the Kansas National Chapter Award program. Chanute was among the top 10% of chapters in the state and has now been recognized as a 2-Star chapter at the national level. Our chapter will be recognized for this achievement next week, on stage, at the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis!
In just under two weeks, we'll be celebrating at things FFA in Indianapolis at the 99th National FFA Convention, including these chapters who will be recognized as National Star Chapters!
The National Chapter Award Program is designed to recognize FFA chapters that actively implement the mission and strategies of the organization. These chapters emphasize growing leaders, building communities and strengthening agriculture.
