UFM Community Learning Center UFM is a non-profit campus and community education program serving Kansas State University, Manhattan, and communities across Kansas.

UFM offers a variety of classes and learning opportunities for people of all ages and interests. These classes are an excellent way to sample an activity without a large commitment of time or money, and a great opportunity to try a new skill. We are all set up at the Junction City Expo!

Come find UFM at Heritage Park! We have our Fall 2026 catalogs, UFM swag, and lots of information about what’s happening this fall, including our Veteran Wellness program! Veterans can take a free wellness class and earn scholarship funds to use toward other UFM classes.

UFM will be at the 2026 Junction City Expo from 5–8 pm at Heritage Park! Stop by our table, say hi, grab some UFM swag, and learn more about what we have happening this fall.

The Expo is free and open to the community, with local vendors, food trucks, music, games, giveaways, and more.

Discover White Phoenix Kung Fu! Also known as Kansas Pai Lung, this unique martial arts system brings together soft, hard, internal, and external techniques into one well-rounded practice. In this class, you’ll learn the basics, practice one-step sparring, and build your skills along the way.

🌟 COMMUNITY ASK: HELP US GET OUTSIDE & PLAY! 🌳⚽️

A HUGE thank you to everyone who has donated art supplies and STEM materials to UFM’s afterschool program! Your generosity has already made such a tremendous difference for our youth. 💙

Now we’re turning our attention outdoors! ☀️

We recently invested in creating a wonderful outdoor space for the 25 young people in our afterschool program, and we’re excited to fill it with opportunities for fun, movement, creativity, and connection.

Unfortunately, outdoor play equipment isn’t quite in the budget right now—so we’re asking our amazing community to help!

Do you have gently used (or new) outdoor toys and equipment that you no longer need? We’re looking for things like:

⚽️ Soccer balls
🏀 Basketballs & playground balls
🥏 Frisbees & outdoor games
💦 Water play stations or water toys
🪁 Active-play toys
🎯 Yard games
🏐 Volleyballs, footballs & other sports equipment
🧸 Any fun outdoor toys that school-age kids would enjoy!
🪑A bench or picnic table

Every ball, game, and toy donated gives our kids another opportunity to play, move, explore, and build friendships. ❤️

Dr. Aliah Seay is delivering Lou Douglas flyers to K-State and Community partners today in anticipation of the prestigious lecture series happening in just a few short weeks on September 14 at the K State Student Union Forum Hall. This year’s speaker is Dr. Kerry Magro, an autistic inspirational speaker, who will be sharing how to build a better partnerships with the autism community. Please join us for a day of community building to support autistic voices. These events are free and open to the public. We would like to thank all of our K-State partners to make this event possible, including the Carl Ice College of Engineering and many others!

UFM has a fresh new look!

If you’ve driven by lately, you may have noticed some big changes. Our buildings have a brand-new paint color, and our new UFM signs are officially up!

A big thank you to two local businesses that helped bring it all together! Renovating SPACE S and their crew tackled some exterior repairs and gave our buildings a fresh new coat of paint, while Sir Speedy Print, Signs, Marketing brought our new signage to life.

We love the finished look and are especially grateful to have worked with local businesses to make it happen!
