Today, with your help, we can secure up to $7,500 in matching funds. The 14th Annual Grow Green Match Day, hosted by the Greater Manhattan Community Foundation, presents a valuable opportunity for the Manhattan Rotary Club. All donations to our endowed fund—our long-term savings—will be matched, helping us reach up to $7,500 in additional funding.

These funds allow us to continue supporting local charities making an even bigger impact in our community. Thank you.

The Manhattan Rotary Club Remembers C. Clyde Jones

The Manhattan Rotary Club joins the family of C. Clyde Jones and the Manhattan community in mourning his passing. He was the longest-serving Rotarian in District 5710.

A Rotarian since 1958 in Illinois, C. Clyde joined the Manhattan Rotary Club in the 1960s. He served as Club President in 1976 and as District 5710 Governor in 1988. Over the years, he hosted Rotary Youth Exchange students from Sweden, Germany, and Belarus. In 2017, he championed a Global Grant Scholar to pursue a graduate degree in London, England. A dedicated supporter of The Rotary Foundation, C. Clyde was recognized as a multi–Paul Harris Fellow, Major Donor Level 1, and Benefactor.

Among the Club’s many cherished memories of C. Clyde are his warm introductions of the Executive Directors of Shepherd’s Crossing and his long-standing tradition of presenting the Rotarian of the Year Award—always keeping members in suspense until the very end. For his 98th birthday in December 2020, the Club celebrated with a drive-by parade—complete with Cami the llama—to mark the occasion.

C. Clyde truly embodied Service Above Self. May he rest in peace.
