The Homestead Ministry

The Homestead Ministry The vision of The Homestead is to be a safe, residential house that is used for ministry for women, 1

The Homestead will offer a voluntary, short-term, transitory care program based on Christian principles. Residents of The Homestead are not required to share any religious beliefs; only that they understand the nature of the program offered, are OPEN to allowing God to work in their lives while they are with us and, at a minimum, are not disruptive to the efforts others may be making in various re

spects, including their developing a relationship with Jesus Christ. Program Overview:
The Homestead offers a voluntary, individually-designed program that involves individual goals for personal development in this re-integration phase of recovery. Our program works with each "Homesteader" to develop a plan that serves her best. This includes life skills training, obtaining education, job apprenticeship, job placement, professional counseling/support group, mentorship, health care, exercise/self-defense training, and Bible study. For more information about our program, information about volunteering, or if you know anyone needing our assistance, please feel free to contact us!

Salina was hit hard by recent storms! We are so thankful Homestead only had one small branch down! Praying for all who had major damage, specially to trees and roofs!

Our Manhattan home had some damage to a tree in the driveway - we are so grateful the damage wasn't any worse!

Praisefest 2026: Local voices, bold hope.

This year, we’re proud to feature an incredible lineup of local, regional, and national artists across three stages, celebrating 15 years of music, worship, and community in the Flint Hills.
https://www.praisefest.org/lineup

From early afternoon sets to the evening main‑stage moment with Megan Woods, every song is an invitation into Bold Hope β€” grounded in 2 Corinthians 3:12: β€œTherefore, since we have such a hope, we are very bold.”

Come enjoy Worship, Community, and Generosity at Praisefest 2026, September 24–27, 2026.

Our Manhattan home's kitchen was recently renovated, thanks to some amazing volunteers and donors. It was a project done over approximately five days, with the work being completed by two of our Homestead board members, Reyn Mosier and Greg Cranford. A BIG thank you to these men for their dedication and service! Reyn and Greg have served on the Homestead board since the very beginning, starting in 2012.

The cabinets and countertops were donated by Jeanne and Larry Limbocker - another BIG thank you! Jeanne has been a mentor with Homestead since the very beginning, starting in 2012.

We could not be more delighted with the results, which now include a dishwasher!
