Today we honor the Four Chaplainsโ€”four men of different faiths who showed extraordinary courage, unity, and selfless love in the face of unimaginable fear.

On February 3, 1943, aboard the USS Dorchester, Chaplains George Fox, Alexander Goode, John Washington, and Clark Poling gave up their life jackets and comforted others as the ship sank, linked arm in arm in prayer as the waters rose.

Their legacy isnโ€™t just about sacrificeโ€”itโ€™s about service beyond differences, choosing compassion over fear, and putting others first when it matters most.

Today, we remember them.
Today, we strive to live like them. ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

We wanted to give a big shout out to the afterschool program who made Veteranโ€™s Day cards for us. They were delivered to our sick Veterans at the Helena VA as well as Veterans & residents at Park Haven nursing home where our organization also donates a food tray each year for their Veteranโ€™s Day event . We truly appreciate their partnership, so we as an organization and along with the help of our local kids, can try to bring some happiness & put a smile on their faces knowing they are being honored & remembered on Veteranโ€™s Day โค๏ธ๐Ÿค๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ!!!

The American Legion Auxiliary would like to send our sincerest thank you to all our amazing sponsors for their generous donations to our 2nd Annual Bingo Fundraiser which took place on Saturday, October 18, 2025 โค๏ธ๐Ÿค๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ. We are so lucky to have so many amazing businesses in the valley that are always willing to give back to the community.

Please know our event was a huge success & you have personally contributed by helping us reach our fundraising goals so we can continue to ease the burdens facing veterans, military, and their families as well as our local Manhattan community.

We hope everybody who attended had a great time & enjoyed our chili dinner! We are so very grateful for your support & participation ๐Ÿ™ & look forward to another great event next year ๐Ÿ‘.
