Spotlight Arts Coll

Established in 2017, Lincoln-Way Theatre Guild produced many successful productions and supported charitable causes throughout the community. As we look to 2021, our Governing Board is excited to produce a full season of diverse theatrical and musical productions under the new name of Spotlight Arts Collective. The future vision of Spotlight includes a wide array of performing and fine arts events

expanding past our theatrical roots. The creative endeavors of Spotlight will continue to raise money for charities, scholarships, and other philanthropic pursuits in the community. Spotlight Arts Collective is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization #81-5459866

What is Tiny Tots Theatrical Playtime? So glad you asked!

We use the theatrical concept of "yes, and..." to play pretend together, and cooperate to make unique creative choices. So, if one kid says they want to be queen of the bees, we say "OK!" and add more to the story. If a kid draws a person with green skin and spiky blue hair, we say "OK!" and ask where that person lives. If someone decides we will all dance by wiggling our toes, we say "OK!", and then add more to the dance. If a kid wants to be chased by cats for the fourth time, we say "OK"! and decide how to get away from the cats AGAIN this time. The kids, not the adults, make all the creative choices.

No matter what the kids decide, we go with it and THEN keep adding more to create something completely new. This helps kids build their self-confidence, social-confidence, cooperation, and creativity!

Well, rehearsal did not go as planned tonight, but we just kept swimming... literally in our Developing Artists Director, Emily's case. She was running interception in the downpour for families that were caught in the rain, and then had to raid the costumes to find dry clothes. Once the rain died down we had to cancel because we had no lights, but our director, Joe, and a few cast members decided to go ahead and stage a short scene in the dark while they were waiting for parents to pick them up. The show must go on!

Season Spotlight: Bleacher Bums ⚾

We head into next spring with the heartfelt comedy Bleacher Bums!

Set in the bleachers of a Chicago Cubs game, Bleacher Bums explores the humor, honesty, and humanity found among a group of devoted fans. What begins as shared time at the ballpark becomes a community built through rivalry, laughter, and unexpected connection.

Season Spotlight: Nunsense

We are thrilled to kick off our 2026–2027 season with the musical comedy classic, Nunsense!

As a season centered on the power of community and connection, Nunsense is the perfect place to begin. When the Little Sisters of Hoboken find themselves in an unexpected predicament, they come together to put on a variety show full of laughter, heart, and unforgettable characters. It’s a joyful reminder that even life’s challenges can bring people closer together and that sometimes laughter is exactly what we need.
