Cub Scout Pack 284

⛵💦 READY, SET, BLOW! 💦⛵

Pack 284 had a BLAST at our Rain Gutter Regatta! 🏁

Our Cub Scouts put their boats to the test, using nothing but their breath to race toward the finish line! 🌬️⛵

There was plenty of laughter, friendly competition, cheering, and maybe a few very tired lungs! 😂

We loved seeing our Scouts encourage one another, practice good sportsmanship, and have fun together. And a BIG shoutout to our Troop 284 Scouts and leaders for helping make the evening a success! ❤️

Great job, Pack 284! Keep sailing toward your next adventure! ⚜️

🐾🌿 Pack 284 had an awesome day at Konza Scouts Zoo Day! 🐢🦜🦁
Our Cub Scouts got to learn, explore, and have plenty of fun while discovering more about conservation, sustainability, wildlife, and caring for the world around us.
From hands-on activities and crafts to learning about animals and protecting their habitats, our Scouts practiced an important part of the Scout Law—being helpful, thrifty, and kind to our environment. 🌎💚
A HUGE thank you to all of our leaders, volunteers, families, and community partners who helped make Zoo Day such a great experience for our Scouts!
Adventure. Learning. Conservation. Scouting. ⚜️🌿
That’s a pretty great way to spend a Saturday!

⚜️ This is what Scouting looks like! ⚜️
Another awesome week of Den Meetings is in the books, and our Scouts were busy having FUN while learning skills they can use for a lifetime!

💪 Our Lions, Tigers & Wolves got moving and worked on physical fitness—because sometimes learning means running, playing, and getting those wiggles out!

🦺 Our Bears took on safety, learning how to recognize hazards and make smart choices.

Our Arrow of Light Scouts worked on knife safety—building responsibility, confidence, and some pretty cool outdoor skills!

That’s one of our favorite things about Cub Scouts: kids are having so much fun they don’t always realize how much they’re learning! ❤️
They’re building confidence. They’re learning responsibility. They’re making friends. And yes… they’re probably coming home with a story or two! 😂

We can’t wait to see what adventures our next Den Meetings bring! 🏕️⚜️

Have a kid who would love to get in on the fun? Come check out Pack 284—we’d love to have your family join the adventure!

Our Lions and Tigers had a great adventure! 🦁🐯

They learned about the Six Essentials every Cub Scout should bring on an outdoor adventure, then put their observation skills to work during a nature scavenger hunt hike. 🌳🥾🔎

Learning, exploring, and having fun together—that’s what Cub Scouts is all about!

Apparently, even AI can lose its bearings. 🤖🧭

Fortunately, Scouts know how to use a compass!

Scouting gives young people opportunities to unplug, head outdoors, and learn real-life skills—including:

🔥 Fire building and outdoor cooking
🧭 Navigation with maps and compasses
🪢 Knots and pioneering
⛑️ First aid and emergency preparedness
🏕️ Camping and wilderness survival
🤝 Leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving

Parents, give your children skills that will last a lifetime. Youth, come discover new adventures, make friends, and learn how to be ready for whatever comes next—even if the robots take over! 😉

Real skills. Real adventures. Ready for anything.

Come experience the adventure with Pack 284 and Troop 284!

🇺🇸 Great news for military families!

If you have been in the fence about enrolling your young ones in Scouts, now is the time to try it, risk free! Cub Scouting serves boys and girls K -5th grade and Scouts BSA serves boys and girls, ages 11-17

Scouting America is waiving the $85 national youth registration fee for eligible youth in families currently serving in the:

✅ Active Duty military
✅ National Guard
✅ Reserve

The waiver is available for both new and renewing youth registrations completed online. During registration, select “Get Military Discount Code,” complete the verification process, and enter the code at checkout.

Local council, unit, program, and optional fees may still apply.

🔎 To find a Scouting unit near you:

1. Visit www.BeAScout.org
2. Enter your ZIP code
3. Select the appropriate Scouting program
4. Explore nearby Packs, Troops, Crews, Ships, or Posts
5. Request more information or begin registering online

If you live in Geary, Riley, Clay, Morris, Washington, or eastern Dickinson County and need help finding the right unit, send the Konza District - Scouting America, Coronado Area Council or Coronado Area Council, BSA District a message. We would be happy to connect your family with a local Scouting program!

Adventure, leadership, friendship, and service are waiting. Come join us!
