Call for entry! Artists of the Flint Hills - NOW is the time to submit your works that have been inspired by the beauty of the Flint Hills to the annual Visions of the Flint Hills benefit art show.

This is the largest fundraiser for the Friends of Konza Prairie and helps to support the work of the Konza Environmental Education Program.

You get your art seen by thousands AND know that the sale of your art helps to benefit a wonderful cause.

Prairie People: the Friends of Konza Prairie hosts an annual art show highlighting the beauty of the Flint Hills: The Visions of the Flint Hills.

We are seeking area sponsors to help promote the show (as well as your business) and to support the First Friday opening of the show (with refreshments and live music).

Join us! Support this event and your business could be highlighted here on social media, in our newsletter, and at the show - reaching over 20,000 people who care about the prairie.

This art show is the main fundraiser that helps ensure kids get out to the prairie and learn about THEIR ecosystem - our kids need to know that the prairie is a great place!

Happy National Prairie Day! 🌾

Remember: if you are a resident of the Great Plains, the prairie is YOUR ecosystem. This grass-dominated land supports hundreds of wildflower species, who in-kind support thousands of insect species. All of whom make the prairie healthy for grazing animals and nesting birds.

Take some time today to really look around and find some prairie. See what it's made of, listen to its sounds, smell its perfume. The prairie has so much to be appreciated! ❤️

Join us on Sunday for the Friends of Konza Prairie Wildflower Walk!

6:30 pm - Konza Prairie Biological Station - 100 Konza Prairie Lane, Manhattan KS

Cost: FREE for members. Otherwise, become a member of the Friends of Konza Prairie that might. Easy! ($30 individual, $50 family)

What you’ll see: wildflowers that are simply off the charts!

You can either have a guide (who knows stuff) or guide yourself around the Butterfly Hill trail at HQ. This is NOT the public trail.

It’s a special night. Become a Friend of Konza Prairie and see some cool flowers!
