NSAI Regional Songwriters Workshop North Central Kansas Our group began in September 2010 and has met every month thru August 2020. Due to COVID changes to our lives, the group has closed as of October 6, 2020.

Tuesday, we will have our regular meeting with a writing challenge called, "Turn a Phrase" that should be fun, challenging, and educational. Bring your cell phones and dress to perform: time permitting we will do a little artist development.

The Holiday Season is upon us. The NSAI chapter for Manhattan, KS will have it's annual Christmas party/guitar pull Tuesday, December 11th, 2018; 7 pm-9:30 pm at Bluestem Bistro. No formal NSAI lesson, but plenty of time to share any songs you wish. Bring your guitars, smiling faces, and guitar straps. Captain Dave has a few fun ideas. We will also discuss briefly what direction the group wants to go in 2019. Also, Captain Dave has the recordings for his upcoming CD finished and will share a couple sneak pre-listens,

We had a small but good meeting in September. The October meeting is scheduled for October 10th, 7pm at the Bluestem Bistro in Aggieville, Manhattan, KS. We'll be kicking off our preliminary round for Ole' music contest that ends in March.

We meet the 2nd Tuesday of each month, 7pm-9:30 at Bluestem Bistro. For Sept 12, 2017 the writing challenge is to write a song with lots of energy (+140 bpm) or a song about the eclipse.

We are still planning on having our regular meeting of the Manhattan, KS chapter of NSAI this evening at 7 pm March 14, 2017 at Bluestem Bistro in Aggieville. We are anticipating: a special guest this evening; News about the upcoming Spring Training in Nashville; a short lesson; and of course "Demo Derby."
