Charles and DeWayne are great examples of long-term employment success! Charles has worked at the Bluemont Hotel for over 10 years, and DeWayne for over 5!

Congratulations to Senator Kenny Titus on being recognized as an InterHab Champion! We appreciate his willingness to listen, learn and look for meaningful ways to strengthen services and supports for Kansans with I/DD. 👏

InterHab’s Champion Fund Committee is proud to recognize Senator Kenny Titus as an InterHab Champion for his thoughtful and proactive approach to strengthening services for Kansans with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD).

Senator Titus sought out the help of a local IDD provider to better understand the needs of the I/DD system and offered thoughtful ideas about where to look within the legislative budget and policy processes for opportunities to strengthen services and supports.

We are grateful for legislators who see the challenges facing our I/DD system and want to dig deeper, ask questions, and look for meaningful solutions. Senator Titus’ willingness to engage, learn, and help identify opportunities to make a difference for Kansans with I/DD is greatly appreciated.

A few of our clients visited Capitol Federal in Manhattan for a hands-on look at managing money. 💵

They practiced writing and cashing checks, learned about checking and savings accounts, and talked about different ways to pay and manage money.
