EGD Studio Track members spent this semester alpha testing our new Quest System; a new experiential learning model that allows members to pursue elective content centered around the many ways games intersect with other fields, industries, and forms of creative practice.
Theme parks often use game technology like Unreal Engine or Unity to make their attractions and experiences come to life. In our Imagineering Quest, members explored the relationship between game development and themed entertainment by studying immersive experience design, attraction development, themed storytelling, and creative iteration processes similar to those used in modern theme parks.
To kick off the project, they visited the Universal Studios Theme Park Exhibit at the in Philadelphia before designing their own themed lands and attractions.
EGD's Quest curriculum will be released in Fall 2026 for use by college club leaders, post-secondary educators, and anyone looking for professional and creative development content aimed at emerging adults.
