EGD Collective of Hunter College’s former Vice President, BrokenBuildDev, and founding member, PaintedAnarchy, just launched a demo for their game, Auto-Arcana!🎉

It’s a roguelike autobattler where you draft, craft and loot spells to build broken combos.

Super proud of these veterans of our community & can’t wait to see where they go from here!!! 🎮💜

When college is out of session, HQ is still on. EGD use these Fridays for impact-focused professional development and service, and this week our core staff joined thousands of New Yorkers in helping pack 4.1 million meals for the 9/11 Day of Service on the USS Intrepid.

Happy first day back from EGD! Studio Track and Crews started today at the NYC Hub.

was yesterday, so here’s some pics from to celebrate!! 🧇🧇🧇

For those who never heard, Waffle Games is EGD’s free annual NYC gaming convention & conference held every spring by emerging adults with a goal to redefine what being involved in games & gaming communities means. 🎮

It’s an event that reinforces our fight for affordable games industry education, esports legitimization on college campuses, and the recognition of games as art.

The BEST highlight though? Cmon, the free waffles ofc 🤤🧇

Thanks again to The City College of New York and CCNY Digital Game Development for helping us put the event together!

Yum, waffles.

🪄The magic & donuts are calling!

We’re thrilled to be starting a fundraiser alongside GroupRaise and Krispy Kreme Doughnuts to help raise money to send our Studio Track students to Walt Disney World this January for an educational trip!🎢🍩

This trip is just one of the diverse experiences we provide to emerging adults to expand their horizons, creatively & professionally.

🫴If you’d like to support:
🔗 Scan the QR code or click the link in our bio to visit the GroupRaise page
💵 ALL boxes purchased are $15 a piece
📱After purchasing, you will receive a code, which you can then redeem at any Krispy Kreme store
😋Enjoy your dozen glazed donuts!

*Note: The price of the box will be $15 no matter what store you visit, even if a dozen box is typically more at a particular store 👍

Please share this post & consider supporting! Thank you! 💜🎮

2026 marks 10 YEARS of EGD‼️‼️🥳🎉

(Some of you are feeling old, aren’t you 😛)

For a decade now, EGD has worked to help emerging adults finish their education, grow as leaders, prepare for career paths in and outside of the games industry, and find their place within the gaming community.

And it’s because all of you chose to join us in that mission that we’re here now 🥰

So for the next few months until EGD’s birthday in November, we’ll be celebrating the students, alumni, volunteers, industry partners, and supporters who’ve made EGD what it is today!

We’ll highlight the stories of those in our community who’ve made an impact, share some favorite memories, AND introduce our ✨SHINY NEW✨ structure of work that’ll better help ALL emerging adults develop in career & leadership! 🔥

Thank you so much to everyone who’s been a part of our party for the past 10 years. It’s been an amazing journey, and we can’t wait to show you what’s next!! 🤩
