You’ve met Pickford, Fairbanks, Holland, Astaire, Booth, Shaw, and Jefferson… but have you met Marlowe?

Maybe not yet, because Houghton Hall has just added a new rehearsal room!

Named for Julia Marlowe, an acclaimed Shakespearean actress and a founding member of the Episcopal Actors’ Guild, (formed at the Church of the Transfiguration, our friends next door!), the new Marlowe rehearsal room is perfect for small and medium-size rehearsals (seated: 6-8 people, with space to move: 2-3 people).

With rental prices starting at $15/hr, this new space is a great, economic option for your next rehearsal. You can rent it now on our site 🎭

Hey Singers!

We're having another Cabaret Concert and this time, it's Thanksgiving-themed!
There are still a few audition spots left, so email [email protected]
with your 3 preferred time slot options to grab one of them!

This concert will feature performers from the Houghton Hall Arts Community and the Church of the Transfiguration sharing songs and stories in honor of Thanksgiving.

Auditions are this Wednesday, Nov 5th from 1-3pm and 6-8pm (you'll be given the location when you email [email protected] with your 3 preferred time slot options)

For the audition, you will bring one song selection that connects to the Thanksgiving theme that you would like to sing in the concert (alternatively, you may audition with another song if you would like additional time to prepare a Thanksgiving-inspired song if selected). Please bring sheet music in the key that you will sing the piece in. There will be a pianist at the audition to accompany you, or you can bring your own. Guitars and other instruments also welcome. No pre-recorded tracks.

We look forward to hearing your beautiful music! 🎶
