Please be weather aware today, and see the graphics below for anticipated timing. Many folks in the weather realm have remained vigilant that today will be a bad day once these storms get firing. Keep an eye on the weather throughout the day and have a plan in mind if you need to seek shelter while making your rounds. Everyone be safe!!!

All the ingredients for intense severe storms will be in place by this afternoon across much of the area. Expect initial storms to quickly turn severe. Destructive hail and intense Tornadoes possible early, then Damaging wind and flooding become the focus. Remain weather aware and take safety measures if needed.

Good morning members of Br. 1018,
I wanted to update you regarding Branch President Land. He is still currently undergoing treatment, and unfortunately, we do not have any answers yet. I spoke with his family yesterday, and they assured me they are doing everything they can to come to a conclusion as quickly as possible. We wish him all the best and send support his way!

Stay updated on the weather today. As the call for severe weather has remained steady, we all know how quickly it can go from good to bad or jump right over us. Keep up to date throughout your duties and be prepared to take shelter if necessary!

Storms are expected to develop between 1-3 PM across the area and grow into a line as they move east-southeast this afternoon. At least a few storms are likely to be severe and produce large hail, damaging winds, and potentially a tornado or two. Stay weather aware today and have multiple ways to receive warnings!

Be Weather Aware! Keep an eye on the forecasts throughout your workday as we all know Kansas weather can change in a heartbeat!

Afternoon clouds still a question in the overall storm setup for later today. Best chance for severe storms to develop appear to be north central before forming a line and pushing through. Very large hail (up to 2"), up to 70 mph winds, a few tornadoes and flooding possible.
