Casey Annis already laying down plans for his 16th Classic next year. Once the Catalina Classic wraps up, Casey swaps the paddleboard for a surfski - training from September through April, including paddles around the Cape of Good Hope at the southern tip of South Africa. DJ Nurre is already back at it - beginning his recovery immediately after an impressive 2025 finish.
We’re now about a month and a half removed from this year’s race, and DJ - like many of the other competitors - is already laying the groundwork for 2026. Over the next few months, we’ll be sharing updates on how these athletes are preparing for the upcoming season, all with one goal in mind: crossing that Catalina channel strong next August.

Back to back champ Jack Bark comes in at 5:14:50, claiming his second Unlimited win.

With a solid lead from the start, Jack came from an incredible 2nd place finish at to smash the Classic once again with a lead of over 16 minutes. Congrats Jack!
