Clothing From Heaven in conjunction with Ilona Living Tango will be conducting a clothing and shoe drive during Milonga LAX, this Sunday, July 5, 2015, at the Elk's Lodge in Westchester, CA.

Hello Friends,

We at Clothing From Heaven have had a very adventurous and rewarding year helping the less fortunate by providing them with basic clothing needs. In 2014, we conducted 6 charity flights and delivered a total of 2060 pounds in care packages, which included clothing, shoes, baby food, and toys.

Some of our valued donors have not donated clothing, however, they have gladly donated by giving a monetary donation to our program. Aside from the clothing donations we receive, monetary funding is the life blood of our program. All funding is used to purchase consumables, such as the packaging materials that we use, and to develop and publish materials that we use to spread the word about our services, among other essential activities. We have no one on payroll since all of our members are volunteers, so every cent that you donate goes to expanding our services.

The year is soon coming to a close. If you normally give to a charity and have not done so yet, and you like what we do for our community, please consider giving to our organization. Hello Friends!

You may recall that we recently conducted a shoe drive, where we collected 93 pairs of kids shoes, which included a pair of Little Fireman's Boots. We couldn't help ourselves and chose to play a game around the little boots, and so we wrote a note and put it inside one of the boots when we delivered them this last weekend. The note basically said that these boots were enjoyed by the child donor and that he had hoped that by donating them, they would bring a smile to another child's face. We know the father of the child donor and he said that the little boots were "The Special Pair" in the bag of shoes that he brought me. The note also said that whoever has care of this lucky child, if they could please take a picture of him/her wearing the little boots so that we could share this on our website. Well, it happened! We'd like to share the pictures with you now. Do you see the smile on the child's face? This is why we do what we do! Our motto is: "Bringing a smile to someone in need, one flight at a time."

The child's name is Samuel, and he's a member of the San Carlos Apache Tribe in Arizona.

Thanks to all who participated in our latest clothing/shoe drive. You made a huge difference in someone's life!

Clothing From Heaven just completed delivery number Lucky 13 to the San Carlos Apache Tribe in Arizona! Thanks to all who contributed to our recent shoe drive. We collected a total of 93 pairs of shoes (some of them brand new) for their kids for back to school! In addition, we took clothing, baby bottles, and baby food, which were donated for this cause. The Director of Social Services for the Tribe and his staff were very thankful for our delivery. Tony Lombardi, our newest pilot, and Efrain Gonzalez had an interesting and adventurous time flying this mission, having had to land and stay the night in Buckeye, Arizona, due to thunderstorms in our path of flight back home yesterday.

Clothing From Heaven is conducting a school-aged kid's shoe drive. These shoes will benefit kids from the San Carlos Apache Tribe of Arizona. This was a special request from Terry Ross, their Director of Social Services. If you or your friends have kids shoes that your little one's have outgrown, please consider donating them to this worthy cause. Any size, any color! We would like to collect the shoes and deliver them by the end of July so that they will have them for the first week of August, when their school year begins. Contact us for more information. Hello!

This weekend members of Clothing From Heaven completed our 12th donation delivery, totaling two and one half tons to date! On this trip, we delivered 400 pounds of clothing, shoes, toys, and baby food! Your kind donations served members of the Navajo Nation who were affected by the recent wildfires, eight of which lost their homes to the blaze.
