Meet Taylor — a handsome 5-year-old male Pit Bull with a heart full of love 💙

Taylor may not be a senior, but he needed a little extra help from Old Blue Inc. to have a mass on his leg checked out. We recently took him to Bay Animal Hospital for a needle aspiration, and we are currently awaiting results. (We learned a pro tip - smear pill pockets on the bench for him to lick with Molly Zbojniewicz@mollyzboj)

What we do know? Taylor is an absolute LOVEBUG. On the ride to the vet, he couldn’t get enough affection and was all over for cuddles and attention. This sweet, affectionate boy just wants to be close to his people.

Taylor would thrive in an active home where he can soak up all the love he deserves. He will do best as the only dog or with a calm female dog companion.

This loving boy is so ready to leave shelter life behind and find a forever family to call his own. Let’s help Taylor get the happy ending he deserves! 🐾

Senior dogs deserve to feel safe, comfortable, and cared for just like any other dog, especially when it comes to getting the medical support they need.

At Old Blue, Inc., we focus on giving older dogs at the Carson Animal Care Center a real chance to feel better and live well, no matter their age.

Meet our newest senior sweetheart, Myssi ! 💕

Myssi is a 12-year-old female Pit Bull who recently arrived at Los Angeles County Animal Care and Control Carson Shelter as an owner surrender. Despite everything she’s been through, this sweet girl is gentle, loving, and ready for a fresh start.

The shelter veterinary team reached out to us to help with a senior wellness profile and f***l testing. Myssi is currently battling a severe skin condition, and the shelter has already begun treatment to help her finally get some relief and comfort.

No senior dog deserves to spend their golden years in a shelter kennel. Myssi deserves soft beds, kind hands, belly rubs, and a family who will show her the love she’s been missing.

Your donations allow us to continue providing additional medical care and support for the senior dogs at Carson Shelter who need us most.

Carson Animal Care Center and Captain Care / Capitán Cuidado Interventionle love their pets. Sometimes, caring pet owners face hard choices when they can't afford necessities such as food. Carson Shelter and are collecting new, sealed food donations to support low-income owners and ensure pets stay healthy, safe, and at home where they belong.
Drop off any sealed food at the shelter! Every contribution helps a pet stay with the family that loves them.

Meet our newest senior sweetheart, Cooper ! 🐾

Cooper is an 8-year-old male Pit Bull who recently enjoyed a special trip to our friends for his Senior Wellness Exam. He was an absolute gentleman the entire visit, and everyone who met him fell in love with his sweet, calm personality.

This handsome boy is full of love and ready to trade shelter life for a cozy bed, soft blankets, and a family to call his own. Cooper is looking for an adult-only home where he can be the one and only pet, soaking up all the love and attention he deserves.

After years of giving his heart, it’s Cooper’s turn to be spoiled. Let’s help this wonderful senior boy start his next chapter filled with comfort, love, and happiness.
