Today, we begin Su***de Prevention Month and National Recovery Month.
These moments give us a chance to talk more openly about the struggles so many people carry quietly, and to remind each other that asking for help is not a weakness.
Sometimes, what someone needs most is to know they are not alone.
That is at the heart of what we do at Waves of Recovery. We create space for people in recovery to connect, get in the water, laugh, challenge themselves, and spend time with people who understand what it means to keep going.
This Recovery Month, we’re raising funds to help us bring more people into that community.
Your donation helps make these experiences possible. It helps us put boards in the hands of people who may be trying to find their footing again, and gives them a place to show up exactly as they are.
If you can, please consider donating to our fundraiser. And if you can’t donate, sharing this post or bringing someone to an event means just as much.
This Saturday, September 5, we’ll be in community.
Come meet us. Bring a friend. Come as you are.
No one should have to ride the waves alone.
