June 6, 1944 — D-Day
Today, we honor the courage, sacrifice, and determination of the Allied forces who landed on the beaches of Normandy 82 years ago. On D-Day, more than 150,000 troops embarked on one of the largest military operations in history, beginning the liberation of Western Europe from N**i occupation.

We remember the young men who faced impossible odds, the families who waited and prayed at home, and all who served in the cause of freedom. Their bravery changed the course of history and secured the blessings of liberty for future generations.

As we reflect on their service, may we never forget the price paid for freedom and the enduring legacy of those who answered the call of duty.

"These are the boys of Pointe du Hoc. These are the men who took the cliffs. These are the champions who helped free a continent." — Ronald Reagan

We remember. We honor. We are grateful.

On June 4, 1919, Congress passed the 19th Amendment, sending it to the states for ratification and marking a pivotal step in the fight for women's suffrage.

After decades of determination, advocacy, and perseverance by countless women across the nation, the 19th Amendment was ratified on August 18, 1920, securing the right of women to vote.

Today, we honor the courage and commitment of the suffragists who worked tirelessly to expand democracy and ensure that women's voices would be heard. Their legacy reminds us that civic engagement and public service continue to shape our communities and our nation.

As we reflect on this historic milestone, let us celebrate the women who came before us and continue their spirit of leadership, service, and patriotism.

Today we honor the courage, sacrifice, and unwavering spirit of the Greatest Generation as we commemorate Victory in Europe Day — marking the end of World War II in Europe on May 8, 1945.
We remember the brave men and women who served our nation and our allies, those who gave their lives for freedom, and the families who supported them from home. Their legacy of courage, resilience, and patriotism continues to inspire generations.

As we reflect on this historic day, may we never forget the cost of liberty and the enduring value of peace.

🇺🇸 On April 19, 1775, a single shot rang out—forever changing the course of history.

Known as the “shot heard ’round the world,” it marked the beginning of the American Revolution at Lexington and Concord. What followed was a courageous stand by ordinary citizens who believed in liberty, self-governance, and the promise of a new nation.

✨ April 18, 1775 – A Ride That Changed History ✨
Tonight marks the 250th anniversary of Paul Revere’s Ride, when patriots set out under the cover of darkness to warn that British troops were on the move. Thanks to their courage, communities were alerted and prepared—sparking the opening moments of the American Revolution.

While Paul Revere is the most famous, he was not alone. Riders like William Dawes and Samuel Prescott also carried the alarm across the countryside that night.

And not long after, a remarkable young woman, Sybil Ludington, made her own courageous ride to rally militia forces—proving that bravery knew no bounds.

As we reflect on this historic night, we honor the determination and quick action of those who helped shape our nation’s fight for independence.

One if by land, two if by sea… and the message still rides on.

Today we honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., whose leadership and unwavering commitment to peaceful change left a lasting mark on our nation’s history. Dr. King believed in the power of service, understanding, and working together to build stronger communities. As we observe this day, may we take time to reflect on his words, learn from his example, and look for meaningful ways—both big and small—to serve others with kindness and respect.

On this day in history, we commemorate the Boston Tea Party—a bold act of courage and conviction that helped ignite the spirit of American independence.

On December 16, 1773, ordinary colonists took an extraordinary stand, reminding us that when voices go unheard, action can change the course of history. Their determination, unity, and belief in liberty continue to inspire us today.
