Northlake Newcomers Club held their last monthly luncheon for this year today at Benedict’s Plantation in Mandeville. A fashion show sponsored by Chico’s was the perfect finale for a perfect year! A group of our own members skillfully modeled all the lovely featured attire. Ashley Ballas from Chico’s expertly served as the show commentator
Vicki Todd along with her Philanthropic Committee presented our charitable donation check to Heather Levine of Family Reach Alliance. Vicki and her team did a fantastic job this year of raising money for such a worthy cause. Congratulations, ladies!
Outgoing president Cheryl Bowles “passed the gavel” to Wanda Rester, our incoming president in September. Past president Elise Mince installed our new executive board.

Our NNC Bunco group met today at the Fat Spoon in Mandeville for the last time until September. We had a wonderful time with great friends and delicious food. Ellie Streckfus took the prize for rolling the most Buncos - six! Debra Moore very generously gave away one of her beautiful handmade patriotic wreaths to one of our lucky guests. Thank you, Debra!
Many thanks to Debra Moore and Gerry Casabat for organizing Bunco this year. So much fun! Join us at NNC’s September event and sign up to join us on the first Wednesday of every month. Looking forward to another fabulous year of Bunco! 🎲 🎲 🎲

Today we celebrated at Pat Gallagher’s 527 Restaurant in Mandeville. Northlake Newcomers Club’s Executive Board along with Committee and Activities Chairpersons and members gathered for the President’s Annual Thank You Luncheon. These are the ladies who make our club the awesome organization that it is!

Bravo to Vicki Todd and her Philanthropic Committee for spearheading our Charity Bingo, Silent Auction, and for doing a phenomenal job of obtaining wonderful raffle prizes! With Mandeville Mayor Clay Madden as caller, anticipation filled the room as members and guests excitedly waited for just the right numbers to make their cards winners! Following ten games of bingo, raffle and Silent Auction winners proudly displayed their winnings. Proceeds from the bingo games, raffle prizes, and the Silent Auction will go to our charity for this year, Family Reach Alliance. Pink flamingos adorned each table and ten lucky ladies won them as door prizes.

Our Executive Board for next year was introduced. Our new officers will be: President - Wanda Rester; 1st Vice President - Vicki Todd; 2nd Vice President - June Thornton; Corresponding Secretary - Gerry Casabat; Treasurer - Linda Nichols; Recording Secretary - Lynn Pablovich; Congratulations, ladies!

We’re looking forward to our May luncheon which will include a fashion show sponsored by Chico’s and modeled for us by some of our own Newcomer members. See you there!

Tonight’s Sipping & Socializing event was at One Thirteen Restaurant. Everything was delicious. The corn and shrimp soup was extra special. Everyone left full with to go boxes!! Thanks to Gilda, Pam, and Elise for another awesome venue.
