Coffee County Humane Society

Coffee County Humane Society Coffee County Humane Society promotes animal welfare through care, spay/neuter, vet assistance, adoptions, and education. Help make a difference today!

We're an all-volunteer, IRS-designated 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Tennessee. Welcome to the Coffee County Humane Society in Tennessee! We're a friendly bunch dedicated to animal welfare. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, your donations are tax deductible. We rely on public donations and grants to provide vital services like care, spay/neuter programs, vet assistance, and finding forever homes. We're all

-volunteer, and open to everyone who cares about animals. While we don't have a physical shelter or office, we operate through a network of foster homes and other volunteers. Here's a peek into what we do:

🩺Spay/Neuter and Emergency Vet Care:
We offer financial assistance for spaying/neutering pets of families facing financial hardship, aiming to reduce pet overpopulation. When our funds allow, we do our best to provide assistance to families in need that have pets facing life-threatening illnesses or injuries. We are unable to provide assistance with routine vet care.

🏠 Foster and Adoption Program:
We're always on the lookout for foster and adoptive homes for dogs and cats. Our foster animals' expenses are covered. We are an approved adoption partner with Petsmart and hold monthly adoption events at Petsmart Tullahoma, and Tractor Supply in Manchester, usually on a Saturday. We also have cats for adoption in the in-store cat room at Petsmart Tullahoma.

🐾Pet Food Distribution:
We provide pet food to families in need as funds and supplies allow. Donations are welcome and greatly appreciated. If you are in need or have pet food to donate, please message us here on Facebook.

🐱 Trap/Neuter/Release:
We help stabilize feral cat populations by humanely trapping, spaying/neutering, and returning them to colonies that have a caretaker feeding them. This crucial program helps prevent disease spread. We can always use help with this program.

🐾 Education and Outreach:
We're passionate about educating the community on responsible pet ownership and humane treatment of animals. We're available for school and community group presentations. Your support makes all of this possible! Whether it's through volunteering, donations, or spreading awareness, you're helping us make a difference in the lives of animals in our community. Our meetings are held on the last Tuesday of each month at 6:00 PM, January through October. We meet at the Coffee County Administrative Plaza Building, 1329 McArthur Street, Manchester, Tennessee. Need more information or want to get involved? Message us here on Facebook for the quickest response. We will do our best to respond in a timely manner during messaging hours. You can find all of our forms, applications, and more details on our website www.coffeehumane.org. Let's work together to create a brighter future for our furry friends!

Hudson is a sweet boy who loves attention and likes to play. He was a stray that someone may have left as he was living in a rental community. Hudson is 2 years old, neutered, tested negative for FeLV/FIV and is current on vaccinations. He is particular about the cats he likes, so he would do better as an only cat. He can also be an indoor outdoor cat! If you are interested in adopting this handsome boy, please go to Coffeehumane.org/services and fill out a Cat Adoption Application. The adoption fee is $120.

If owning a cat is not something you can currently handle in your home, that's okay! If you have a warm and fuzzy heart like me, PLEASE follow this link to provide a donation on our website. All proceeds go to the Coffee County Humane Society and your generosity directly impacts the well-being of animals in our community, helping us extend compassion and care to those who need it most

Anyone have a sweet tooth 🍪🍪

Oreo is a sweet girl who is curious, loves to play with cat toys and wants your continual attention. She is spayed, 9 months old, tested negative for FeLV/FIV, has been wormed, is current on vaccinations and has had flea prevention applied. Oreo was surrendered due to the owner having too many cats to take care of. She gets along well with other cats and dogs. If you are interested in adopting this sweet girl, please go to Coffeehumane.org/services and fill out a Cat Adoption Application. The adoption fee is $120.

If owning a cat is not something you can currently handle in your home, that's okay! If you have a warm and fuzzy heart, PLEASE follow this link to provide a donation on our website. What a special weekend and so much thanks to this out-of-state Rescue for helping our cause!

FOR YEARS AND YEARS, we have been receiving a lot of comments resulting in public confusion and misconception about who we are versus who animal control is for Franklin County.

We hope this infographic helps- please SHARE to reach our community members!!

FIRST and foremost, we do not provide Franklin County's animal control services.

We do WORK TOGETHER with Franklin County Animal Control (FCAC) to SAVE LIVES. We collaborate with Heather at animal control, to pull high risk animals from the county shelter and get them the medical care they need to enter into our adoption programs. We also help transport their animals to rescues where they can get the care they need, almost weekly.

We would like to add that Animal Harbor and the current FCAC staff collaborate and have the same mission- to save lives- we just each go about doing it in different ways.

We both equally need the community's support to thrive and we are both doing the best we can with the resources that we have.

The bottom line is that the public is best served when people look beyond the labels and into the actual facilities themselves. This ensures that there is a place for every animal in need within the community. Working together saves as many lives as possible.

Please do your part as community members and be responsible for your pets.

Please Spay or Neuter to prevent unwanted litters that are driving our shelters to capacity and forcing some to make hard decisions regarding life and death.

These problems are not SHELTERING problems, they are deeply rooted in COMMUNITY problems.

We have a "quest" for you!
Conquest and Charlotte are sweet, affectionate, and playful three-month-old kittens. They tested negative for FeLV/FIV, are up to date on distemper vaccinations and have been treated for worms and had flea prevention applied. They were surrendered because their previous owners did not have enough time for them. Both kittens love attention and playing with toys. They get along well with other cats and are currently learning to coexist with dogs. If you are interested in adopting one or both of these kittens, please visit Coffeehumane.org/services and complete a Spay/Neuter application. The adoption fee is $120. Please note that they must be spayed or neutered by six months of age.

If owning a cat is not something you can currently handle in your home, that's okay! If you have a warm and fuzzy heart like me, PLEASE follow this link to provide a donation on our website. The previous fund raiser event Phil in the Box has 2 boxes at Safe Storage, that may still say “Am Vet” until the new ones are replaced!
The container at Randolphs in Tullahoma is not there yet, but should be by Tuesday, May 26!

Again, thank you for all of your support!
