We're an all-volunteer, IRS-designated 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Tennessee. Welcome to the Coffee County Humane Society in Tennessee! We're a friendly bunch dedicated to animal welfare. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, your donations are tax deductible. We rely on public donations and grants to provide vital services like care, spay/neuter programs, vet assistance, and finding forever homes. We're all
-volunteer, and open to everyone who cares about animals. While we don't have a physical shelter or office, we operate through a network of foster homes and other volunteers. Here's a peek into what we do:
🩺Spay/Neuter and Emergency Vet Care:
We offer financial assistance for spaying/neutering pets of families facing financial hardship, aiming to reduce pet overpopulation. When our funds allow, we do our best to provide assistance to families in need that have pets facing life-threatening illnesses or injuries. We are unable to provide assistance with routine vet care.
🏠 Foster and Adoption Program:
We're always on the lookout for foster and adoptive homes for dogs and cats. Our foster animals' expenses are covered. We are an approved adoption partner with Petsmart and hold monthly adoption events at Petsmart Tullahoma, and Tractor Supply in Manchester, usually on a Saturday. We also have cats for adoption in the in-store cat room at Petsmart Tullahoma.
🐾Pet Food Distribution:
We provide pet food to families in need as funds and supplies allow. Donations are welcome and greatly appreciated. If you are in need or have pet food to donate, please message us here on Facebook.
🐱 Trap/Neuter/Release:
We help stabilize feral cat populations by humanely trapping, spaying/neutering, and returning them to colonies that have a caretaker feeding them. This crucial program helps prevent disease spread. We can always use help with this program.
🐾 Education and Outreach:
We're passionate about educating the community on responsible pet ownership and humane treatment of animals. We're available for school and community group presentations. Your support makes all of this possible! Whether it's through volunteering, donations, or spreading awareness, you're helping us make a difference in the lives of animals in our community. Our meetings are held on the last Tuesday of each month at 6:00 PM, January through October. We meet at the Coffee County Administrative Plaza Building, 1329 McArthur Street, Manchester, Tennessee. Need more information or want to get involved? Message us here on Facebook for the quickest response. We will do our best to respond in a timely manner during messaging hours.
