We hope you are inspired by these beautiful moments captured & great stories from Roy Kosky & Dean Neary, the Associate Pastor of Grace Community Church in Canaan, VT, on their trip to Ghana in May of this year.

"We arrived at Accra Int’l Airport on 14 May and were picked up by Pastor Daniel. He drove us to his lovely kibbutz, where we were housed throughout the week. Once settled, we reviewed the week’s itinerary with Pastor Daniel. Then, we rested in anticipation of a 4:00am departure on Friday morning. On Friday morning we drove to Kwapom Village to dedicate land to be purchased for building a new community church. VIM donated $1,600 for purchase of this land. Come Friday evening, we returned to Pastor Daniel’s kibbutz. During his Friday evening service, I shared a testimony from Colossians 3 regarding Christian Living through all circumstances.

On Saturday, we provided a medical clinic at a vacant church building near Pastor Daniel’s kibbutz, from 10:00am - 6:00 pm. During that time, we served 107 men, women, and children. Dean prayed over patients and I gave clothing, toiletries, toys, tooth brushes / toothpaste to all.

On Sunday, we drove to Sedom Village to dedicate the land and basic building structure for this new church facility. VIM donated $1,900 for this land purchase. Then, we drove to another church building in Sedom Village, where I gave my personal testimony of faith in Jesus and Dean preached a message from I Peter 5. That evening, we returned to Pastor Daniel’s kibbutz for a lovely evening of praise and worship service. We had three Spirit-filled dancing groups [Faith, Hope, Love] where each dancing group leader encouraged all of us to join them at the alter. This service ended at 9:00 pm with a heavy thunder storm. Kindly, each of Pastor Daniel’s associate pastors drove many of the families home, who had walked to attend this service earlier in the evening.

On Monday & Tuesday Dean and I toured historic sights Accra and participated in street ministry at Pastor Daniel’s neighborhood. Then finally on Wednesday morning, Pastor Daniel drove us to Accra Int’l Airport and we returned home to the USA." - Roy Kosky

VIM received a request to support evangelism efforts in Nigeria alongside medical clinics. As the State Departments recommends against travel to several areas of Nigeria at this time, VIM sent medicines and other needed items to Nigeria. Following are a few photos the devoted missionaries and pastors and the people with whom they shared the gospel and love of God through medical clinics. Feeding the soul is certainly a route to full health. Medical clinics are a blessing to the physical body while the gospel heals the soul and elevates the spirit. Pray for all Christians and innocent non-Christians as Nigeria navigates religious and social terrorism.

Over the 35 years that VIM has existed, relationships have been the foundation of our ability to send mission teams around the world and to provide items to 3rd world countries. The following photos show medical supplies which are headed to Sudan, Africa and bicycles headed to Sierra Leone in West Africa.

VIM accepts durable medical equipment, medical supplies, bicycles and other durable goods to distribute to our contacts who fill 20' and 40' containers. Many of these goods are donated to non-profit organizations in those countries and some of the goods are sold in marketplaces where folks can earn money to support their families. A lot has been going on and time to post has escaped me. Here are photos of relief efforts by Pastor Rey and Alma Angana in the Philippines after the magnitude 7.8 earthquake hit General Santos City on June 8. They have made multiple 10-hour (one way) trips to that city to deliver food, water, supplies and tents to those who lost their homes in the aftermath of the quake.

Donation are being accepted to support their efforts. A small team will travel in November to General Santos City to aid the Angana's in the ongoing efforts. Folks will be without structures for a long period due to the devastation.

Consider supporting the La Gonave Haiti Mission on the small island of La Gonave in Haiti. VIM has been involved with this mission when it started as an orphanage and through to this period when it serves the entire community while helping the last of the orphans to finish high school and get jobs. They host weekend kids camps every Saturday, feeding, loving on them, preaching and guiding them to Kingdom life. The food is fabulous and a great night out for $20 per person.
