Paw in Hand Rescue NH is a NH Non-Profit that was created to fulfill a mission; to rescue every animal from euthanasia. Every year millions of animals are killed in shelters throughout the United States. While there are many animal rescue organizations working tirelessly to save these fur babies, the need is, currently, greater than the resources. Paw in Hand is a rescue first. We will soon be pul
ling dogs from high kill shelters and placing them with new families or in foster homes while they await their new families. While we want, more than anything, to make sure all animals are in loving homes and stop the all too common and unnecessary, euthanasia, we also know that keeping families and their pets together and help other rescues in their quest to re-home these fur-babies are also great ways to put a stop to these killings. Paw in Hand rescue will:
1. Pull animals from high kill shelters and find loving homes for every animal possible
2. Help families who believe that they are forced to surrender their pet due to illness, foreclosure, job loss or other issues by offering them alternatives such as a foster situation, dog walking, food or vetting assistance until they can get back on their feet.
3. Create a nationwide network of fosters and helpers that will promote and facilitate our mission throughout the United States.
4. Actively look for and open an adoption storefront that will help facilitate and encourage more adoptions into loving homes. Paw in Hand will make this adoption center available to other New Hampshire rescue groups. The ultimate goal is to help these animals.
5. Paw in Hand rescue will work with other rescues, to the best of our ability, when called upon to rescue animals in danger of euthanasia. We will fill, to capacity, our foster homes and our (future) facility in order to re-home more animals.
6. Paw in Hand Rescue NH extends an open offer to animal control throughout NH. When there is a stray animal, please consider us a viable alternative to placing the animal in any kill shelter.
7. Paw in Hand Rescue NH will work with other groups and support legislation that helps to save animal lives and prevents cruel and senseless euthanasia.
8. Paw in Hand Rescue NH will create a network of animal professionals including vets, groomers, trainers and other experts that will help us make informed and sound decisions regarding appropriate care, training, medical needs and more. We have big plans and bigger dreams but every journey of 1000 miles begins with the first step. We would be honored and very appreciative if you would help us take the first steps (or any of the million steps afterwards). We always need funds, we always need fosters, we always need volunteers and we need other rescues to partner with us. Without all of us, we can’t save all of them. Thank you!
