Four years ago, a group of residents shared a simple but powerful idea: create opportunities for employees to further their education. Today, that resident-led dream has grown into a scholarship fund that has raised more than $46,000 through community-supported events like our annual Craft Fair and Tavern Nights.

We're proud to introduce this year's scholarship recipients: 12 dedicated employees from nursing, dining, wellness, and the kitchen who are pursuing degrees in nursing, social work, cyber security, and accounting to name a few.

We can't wait to see what these amazing individuals will accomplish. Know that your RiverWoods family will be cheering you on every step of the way!

Last week, team members from across the RiverWoods communities came together at the LeadingAge Maine & New Hampshire Annual Conference for a few days of learning, collaboration, and connection with aging services professionals from across New England.

We’re especially proud that RiverWoods was represented not only in attendance, but also as speakers on topics including practical AI tools, how Human Resources and Marketing can partner to strengthen recruitment and retention efforts, and innovative wellness programming.

Over the past year, we’ve partnered with Sustainable UNH its Climate Action Clinic to calculate our carbon footprint across all RiverWoods communities and establish a baseline for our environmental impact. The students presented their findings to residents at the conclusion of their project, providing early recommendations to guide where meaningful and measurable change can happen.

This summer, we’re continuing our partnership through UNH’s Sustainability Fellowship Program by welcoming a graduate student who will build on the work completed so far. From May through August, this fellow will help gather additional input, refine findings, and develop a formal sustainability plan for RiverWoods.
