It is a place for women to start over, to renew their lives. A voluntary, residential treatment facility like few others, the Home’s mission is to come alongside women with alcohol/drug dependencies, abusive relationships, and destructive lifestyles. The goal is to rebuild and restore broken lives in an atmosphere of hope and trust. The method is to deal with the individual’s whole being; body, so
ul, and spirit. The program takes a holistic approach, dealing not only with the obvious dependency issues, but also with fundamental issues of self-esteem and the ability to manage family, household, and employment. Through peer support, a loving staff, and strong leadership, the women enter into a partnership to put their lives back together so they can enjoy a self sufficient and productive life in today’s society. Some History:
In the year 1978, a lot of things were different. A gallon of gas was sixty-three cents, there was no such thing as the internet and 9.9% of americans were using cocaine. The trends were alarming and both George and Grace Rosado took note. Refusing to take a back seat, they rushed into action, looking for a solution to the problem, never imagining they would be called to be the difference makers. Soon they started a home in New Hampshire called New Life Home for Women and Children. Since the homes inception, thousands of women and children have walked through the doors of restoration. When asked about their dream, Executive Director Grace said, "We want to be known by our motto, restoring broken lives. This is the foundational principle of New Life Home. It isn't about just getting sober or clean, it's about having a New Life." This unique heart and aspect of the home is what drives our women to succeed in life. We have seen burnouts get their masters degrees. One of our ladies was offered a job writing speeches for The President of The United States. The work charges on, but we need your help. Many of our partners get involved in the work and support us financially. What makes us different:
Children. Approximately 80% of the residents have children. Numerous organizations offer rehabilitation programs for women but many women will forgo much needed treatment at the expense of leaving their children behind. New Life’s residential program not only stresses the reclaiming of a woman’s life but also the life of her children who are often overlooked. The New Life staff, volunteers, and graduates pour out love and support to each woman and her children. All efforts are supported by the belief that individual lives are impacted with the same foundational principles our country was founded on - faith, liberty, and justice for all.
