Manchester's youth substance use prevention coalition, FACTS, produced this youth gambling awareness PSA with the support of CREC, CCPG and DMHAS Problem Gambling Services. The video is intended to bring awareness to the risks of online gaming involving loot boxes and in game currencies. If you or someone you know are struggling with online gaming, contact the CT Problem Gambling Hotline at 1-888-789-7777.

Join us for Manchester’s annual International Overdose Awareness Day Wellness Event and Vigil on Thursday, August 28th, 2025, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at Center Memorial Park in Manchester. Hosted by the Opioid Settlement Fund Committee of Manchester, this year’s event embraces both remembrance and recovery. It offers space not only to honor those we've lost to overdose, but also individuals in recovery, families affected by substance use, and anyone impacted by the overdose crisis. This family-friendly gathering offers space to share your story, learn about local resources, and come together as a community in moments of both joy and grief.

A protective factor can be explained as conditions in families and communities that, when present, increase the health and well-being of children and families. YSB teens and staff worked together to create an egg for Manchester's Great Egg Hunt that emphasizes connection and partnership. The Manchester Youth Service Bureau is enjoying all Spring has to offer while incorporating the protective factors that help make our community so great!

The walk starts at Manchester High School's main entrance and ends at the Manchester Youth Service Bureau with food, games, and raffles. Join us in the prevention of youth substance use and the promotion of positive mental health! This event will honor Pam Phillips and her consistent dedication in the planning and creation of past walks and numerous other Manchester prevention efforts.
