Tails of Joy, Inc. In Connecticut - Providing Therapeutic Benefit to People Through the Use of Animals

Member teams are registered with one of two nationally recognized animal therapy organizations, Intermountain Therapy Animals or Pet Partners. The majority of TOJ members are located in Central and Northeastern Connecticut, but we are spread across the state. As volunteers, our members choose where to visit based on their interests and availability.

Pet Partners would like to give a special highlight to Dr. Laurel Rabschutz, a handler who’s been with Pet Partners since 1991 back when we were called the Delta Society! It all started with her first therapy dog, Orion. Since then, she’s registered several therapy dogs and now volunteers with Wrigley and Ernie with a focus on college campus student destress events.

Thanks to handers like Laurel, our teams have been bringing the love of therapy animals to people and communities in need for over 30 years.
