All smiles when our girls receive their new Girls at Work sweatshirts! Every girl who completes our afterschool program gets a brand-new sweatshirt—celebrating her hard work and proudly showing the world she’s a Girl at Work.

By sponsoring these sweatshirts, your company helps girls leave our program feeling seen, celebrated, and empowered. It’s more than a sweatshirt, it’s a reminder of what she's capable of.

If you can see it, you can be it.

In our workshops, we place female role models right at eye level with our girls—for a reason. Representation matters.

One of the powerful icons on our walls is Rosie the Riveter. We talk about how strong Rosie is—inside and out—and how that same strength lives within each of our girls too.

When girls can see strong women reflected around them, they begin to recognise and carry their own inner strength with confidence. 💪✨

This new year, you, your workplace, or your community have the power to change lives by hosting an EMPOWERHER Drive.

By organizing a drive, you help provide essential items to the girls in our program—giving them the tools they need to feel confident, supported, and set up for a successful year. From everyday necessities to school-ready supplies, your generosity makes a direct and lasting impact.

We make it easy. We’ll provide a donation box for your location, complete with information about our program and a clear list of items we’re collecting. You choose the type of drive that works best for your group:

• Toiletries Drive
• Sneaker Drive
• School Supplies Drive

Every donated item goes directly to the girls we serve, helping empower them for life.

Encouragement is at the heart of everything we do. In our program, girls don’t just receive encouragement—they learn how to give it.

We build up our young builders by reminding them just how wildly capable they are, while also teaching them how to recognize and uplift that same potential in others. This balance helps them leave our space with confidence, compassion, and the ability to create positive change wherever they go.

You have the power to help us continue building confident, empowered girls who lift each other up. Join us in making this possible, support our mission by donating or getting involved today. Click the link to take action.

Every girl who walks through our doors leaves as a Girl at Work.
But what does it truly mean to be a Girl at Work?

A Girl at Work lives our core values every day: Teamwork, Respect, Safety, Trust, Empowerment, and Integrity. These values guide how our girls show up—not just in the workshop, but in the world.

What often goes unspoken is the confidence they discover along the way. While they’re here, our girls learn who they truly are. They learn to trust themselves, to believe in their abilities, and to use those skills to face any challenge life puts in front of them.

So we ask you: Are you a Girl at Work?
What does being a Girl at Work mean to you?

You can help provide the opportunity for more girls to find their confidence, their voice, and their power. Support our mission and be part of the impact—donate today or get involved by clicking the link below or in our bio:

Picking up a power tool for the first time can be intimidating at any age, now imagine being an eight-year-old girl.

When our girls walk into their very first class, we start by talking about fear. We teach them that fear isn’t a bad thing. It’s a signal—one that tells us something matters and may be challenging. More importantly, we show them how to face that fear, work through it, and conquer it.

By the end of each session, our girls don’t just leave with a new skill. They walk away knowing they are capable of doing hard, scary things—and succeeding.

You can help make these moments possible. Support the next generation of confident, fearless girls by donating today. Click the link below or in our bio to make an impact:

Today, we close out 2025 ✨

A year filled with growth, learning, and meaningful impact at Girls at Work. Month after month, we showed up for our girls—through summer camp, our after-school program, and everything in between.

None of this would have been possible without you. A heartfelt thank you to our donors, volunteers, staff, community partners, and everyone who supported our mission this year. We are truly grateful that you believe in our mission.

As we step into the new year, we invite you to be part of what comes next. When you donate, share our story, or spread this post, you’re not just supporting girls—you’re choosing to invest in a stronger, more connected community. Join us in carrying this impact forward into 2026.

As we wrap up the holiday season, we’re taking a moment to reflect with gratitude ✨ This December, we came together with our families in so many meaningful ways. We were proud to host our free parent holiday shopping event, where 42 families attended—supporting 159 family members with gifts chosen with care.

During our seasonal celebration, 45 girls joined us, each receiving hats, mittens, a new winter jacket, and Santa sacks to help keep them warm and supported. In addition, 80 girls had the opportunity to pick out thoughtful gifts for their families, ensuring no one was left behind this season.

The impact doesn’t stop here. You have the power to continue this support all year long.

December gave us a moment to pause and reflect—and what a year it’s been ✨

One of our favorite highlights was Celebrate 25: A Community Open House. Our village showed up to shop for holiday gifts made by our girls, learn what’s ahead, and share our mission with friends new to our work.

Seeing our longtime supporters proudly introduce others to our staff and programs reminded us just how powerful this community is. We’re so grateful for everyone who helps us spread the love

As we pause today, we want to share our deepest thanks ✨ This season has reminded us just how powerful community can be. Because of you—our donors, volunteers, staff, community partners, and supporters—families felt supported, girls felt seen, and kindness was shared in countless ways.

Your generosity, time, and belief in our mission made every moment possible. We are so grateful to be surrounded by a community that shows up with open hearts and helping hands.

From all of us at Girls at Work, thank you for being part of our village 🧡

We are wrapping up our holiday season by hosting our second free Christmas gift shopping event. Parents were invited to come to Girls at Work—without their children—to shop for gifts for their families in a calm, supportive environment.

Families were able to choose from toys, toiletries, clothing, shoes, groceries, and wrapping supplies. This opportunity helped ensure that each family could enjoy the holidays with less stress and more peace of mind.

Today, many parents shared that the gifts they received were the only presents their families would have this Christmas season. They also expressed how meaningful the groceries were, especially during winter break when their children are home and not receiving school meals.

We are incredibly grateful to our community partners who hosted donation drives and to every individual who contributed items to make this event possible. Your generosity made a powerful difference for our families this holiday season. ❤️
