Troop 27 held its final meeting and Court of Honor for this Scouting year last week! This was the final meeting and Court of Honor for a handful of our Scouts. We hope to see some transition into leaders as they become adults. Onto the next adventure of Scout camp at June Norcross Webster for many of our Scouts! This is the first year of camp for a few of our Scouts and we are excited for them, as we know what an amazing experience a week at Scout camp is!⛺️🎣🧗🚲

We may have had to pause our cleanup at Rentschler Field on Saturday night after a FIFA friendly match of Cape Verde vs Bermuda due a strong passing storm, but we resumed and got the job done!

Troop 27’s Hudson Quinlan finished his Eagle project earlier this month! Hudson’s project consisted of creating a new paver walkway that connects two entrances at the church and will also be used during confirmation ceremonies.

Thank you to all of the Scouts, leaders, parents and volunteers that helped make Hudson’s project a success! Great job Ethan and good luck with the next steps toward making the rank of Eagle Scout!🦅

And that’s a wrap! Our last can and bottle drive of the scouting year was a success! It was super cold, rainy and windy, but our town came out to support us! Thank you to our community for continuing to support our troop!

Today is the day! Rain or shine and rain it is! Troop 27’s semiannual can and bottle drive is today! Don’t waste your weekend returning your cans and bottles inside. Bring them to Troop 27’s can and bottle drive and we’ll even empty them from the car for you! Hope to see you there! As always, we appreciate our community’s support!

Troop 27’s Ethan Malouin finished his Eagle project the last month! Ethan’s project consisted of improving a walking trail and adding a trailhead sign. He also built a Lincoln Log style bench at the end of the trail with a scenic overlook.

An annual tradition for Troop 27 is placing flags on the graves of our veterans in East Cemetery the week before Memorial Day. The flags stay up through Independence Day. 🇺🇸
This year part of Troop 123 joined us in placing flags. We thank them for their participating with us.
