Problem:
In the state of Tennessee, where is there a facility or a group home or any place that would be able to house and train in the work force my Autistic son.
Challenge:
What if...we could build our own? A facility, a home where people with special needs can come to to receive training in the work force, counseling, guidance, a place to live when they have noone else that can take care of them. A place that is only surrounded by loving, understanding doctors and nurses and therapist who have experience with Autism or any other special needs.
A place where our special needs family can feel safe and cared for.
As a parent with a two children with special needs, I have anxieties and worries about where my son's will end up when I can no longer take care of them.
Who will be there to help them through a meltdown?
Who will guide them in small situations such as paying a bill or requesting a refill of medications?
Where will they live?
Who will take care of them when I'm not physically able to or when Im gone?
Is it possible to achieve such a massive dream for a small town like Manchester?
What do you think?
What are your anxieties for your special needs child?
Thank you.
