The post:
On May 19th, five Aldermen opposed a compromise budget that would have allocated an additional $1.6M to road repairs: • Crissy Kantor, Ward 6 • Ross Terrio, Ward 7 • Ed Sapienza, Ward 8 • Norm Vincent. Ward 11 • Kelly Thomas, Ward 12
Their logic? That it's too much money. Even though DPW would need $3.4M on top of that just to fully fund our FY27 paving program.
Mv constituents have made it abundantly clear - our roads suck, and they need to be fixed. That much is obvious to anyone who drives in Manchester. But the only way we fix that is if we pay for the required labor and materials. New asphalt can't be made out of hopes and dreams alone.
So if you want more roads repaved, please call or email those five Aldermen. Ask them how they plan to fix your street without funding.
