This past week, MHCGM's President and CEO, Patricia Carty spent some time in Washington, D.C. participating in the National Council for Mental Wellbeing's Hill Day alongside Jay Couture, President and CEO of Seacoast Mental Health Center, and Roland Lamy, Executive Director of the NH Community Behavioral Health Association.
Hill Day focuses on mental health advocacy through improved accessibility and policies. This year, Patricia, Jay, and Roland met with NH lawmakers (Senator Maggie Hassan, Senator Jeanne Shaheen, Congresswoman Maggie Goodlander, and Congressman Chris Pappas) and their staff to advocate for H.R. 8487 – Ensuring Excellence in Mental Health Act. A Bill that, if passed, would create sustainable funding structures for Medicaid services provided by Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics (CCBHC).

MHCGM is participating in NH Gives, the largest nonprofit 24-hour day of giving happening across the state. Every June, over 600 Nonprofits create campaigns and ask for your help with funding.

𝗛𝗮𝗽𝗽𝘆 𝟲𝟬𝟯 𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗽𝘆 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗲! It's summertime, and MHCGM's many programs and services remain available to everyone, like Open Access, which enables anyone who needs care to walk in Monday through Thursday, 8 am-3 pm, for an intake appointment.
