🎺 Taps Across America is an annual Memorial Day tribute where musicians and buglers nationwide play "Taps" at precisely 3:00 p.m. local time.

Initiated to honor fallen service members during the National Moment of Remembrance, the event unites Americans by having them sound the 24-note melody from their porches, driveways, and local memorial.

How to Participate: You can join thousands of musicians—regardless of age, instrument, or skill level—to ensure no sacrifice is forgotten.

When: Monday, Memorial Day at 3:00 p.m. (your local time zone).
Where: Your front porch, driveway, balcony, a local cemetery, or a military monument.
How: Simply step outside with a bugle, trumpet, or any other instrument and play "Taps".

(I can’t play an instrument, so I play a Taps video from YouTube and as loud as I can from my outdoor speaker.)

Today we honor the 1.3 million active-duty service members. Established in 1949 by Secretary of Defense Louis Johnson to replace separate Army, Navy, and Air Force Days, and was made an official national holiday in 1961 by President John F. Kennedy. ❤️🤍💙
