🩵What a wonderful, heartfelt day! Thank you to all the families who attended our first Arts and Fitness Fun program activity for youth and young adults with AUTISM on Sunday (4.19.26) with our new partner, Starhill Family Athletic Center in Tolland, CT!
💙We can’t thank Starhill enough for this space to host or Autism S.O.A.R., Spectrum Opportunities in Arts and Recreation— this, our first program event after an unplanned hiatus due previous loss of location. We have held events from dozens to 100 in attendance. We look forward to resetting and growing again.
On this day—The genuine smiles, family bonding, socializing, creative discovery with our sensory, art and LEGO tables, dancing, physical activity including a family cone race in the gym’s spectacular dome- were breathtaking!
To our co-founder, Maurice Clark Danell Reese, your sincere heart and efforts to support whatever needs to happen to make everything flow and participants comfortable, from setup to music to event programming, is seen and truly appreciated.
To our dedicated volunteers, thank you for being present before, during and after this event, and support of this program and its vision from its inception. Every action and camaraderie with our participants is seen and appreciated.
To supporters and friends who promoted this event - thank you for every post and word.
💜A thank you to Shop Rite supermarket in Manchester, CT (Spencer Street) for providing snacks and drinks for this event).
Lastly to the inspiration for Autism S.O.A.R., my son. Cashan, and your peers in this beautiful autism community, this welcoming space where you can smile, be in a social setting with others without judgement, immersed in acceptance and love, for all that you are, and discovery of your ability to soar - is always for you with immeasurable love.
