West Delaware FFA

On May 15th, 28 West Delaware students had the opportunity to teach Lambert and St. Mary’s students about farm and home safety through 7 interactive rotations! 🚜🌽

Each station focused on different important safety practices, helping younger students learn how to stay safe both on the farm and at home. From equipment awareness to everyday precautions, our students did an amazing job leading, teaching, and setting a great example for others.

We are proud of these students for sharing their knowledge and promoting safe habits in our community! 👏

Congratulations to our Ag Mechanics Team on placing 5th overall in the state!

• 1st Overall Team in Welding (MIG Welding)
• 2nd Place Individual Welding – Cooper Eschen
• 6th Overall Team in Electrical (Wiring Switches)
• 4th Overall Team in Machinery and Equipment Systems (Small Engines)
• 8th Overall Team in Structural Systems (Tool Usage)

A special thank you to our outstanding CTE staff at West Delaware. These accomplishments would not be possible without their support, instruction, and dedication to our students. The team members have taken a variety of CTE courses during their time at West Delaware, which helped prepare them for success in this contest.

Another state convention has come to an end!

Yesterday was a productive day at State Convention!

Students kicked off the morning at Digital Ag, learning how to turn high-tech ideas into real-world results for farmers.

Once we arrived at convention, they explored the career and vendor show and attended two general sessions. We were also excited to watch Madie Deutmeyer get recognized on the big stage for winning her proficiency category!

We wrapped up the night at the ISU College of Agriculture and Life Sciences BBQ and FFA Fun Night.

Students are busy competing in contests now—stay tuned for results!

Starting off State Convention on the right foot!

Today the West Delaware FFA Chapter attended a program hosted by the Iowa Cattleman Foundation honoring Madie Deutmeyer for winning the Beef Placement Proficiency!
