The Tara Dowden Scholarship is for graduating high school seniors at BBA demonstrated the Irish tradition of hospitality, compassion (neartu le cara) and commitment to community that Tara embraced during her life. anchester residents that have demonstrated the Irish tradition of hospitality, compassion (neartu le cara) and commitment to community that Tara embraced during her life. Recipients will have demonstrated their commitment through volunteerism or compassionate support of their community purely for the benefit of others. Academic excellence is not the top priority; in fact, the average student is ideal. Financial need will also be a consideration. Applicants receiving a scholarship may attend an undergraduate college, university, trade or vocational school. If you knew and loved Tara as so many of us did, please consider donating to the fund. As Tara knew, even the smallest gesture can matter a great deal. Our goal is to raise enough so that a graduating senior(s) in the BBA class of 2022 can receive the first award(s).
