The BBAARJ began meeting in June, 2020, and have since written and sent the Burr and Burton Academy Administration an open letter calling the school to action towards building anti-racism into all components of the school culture. We have received over 190 signatures from alumni and current students to date in support of the letter - and would love for you to join our work by reading the letter on our website, and endorsing our letter, all of which you can find on our linktree below.

Welcome to the BBAARJ! For those of you new to this group, our mission is as follows:
Burr and Burton Academy Alumni for Racial Justice (BBAARJ) is an alumni and current student-run organization that is open to all those who want to collectively create meaningful and long-lasting change regarding equity and inclusion within Burr and Burton Academy and the surrounding community. We are committed to holding these communities accountable for taking concrete action towards practicing and implementing anti-racism across the curriculum, culture and beyond.
