Last Saturday, our graduate assistants and volunteers brought a little bit of Manchac to the annual Big Bass Fishing Rodeo and Fishtival in New Orleans. Visitors were able to learn about common native and invasive species and test their knowledge with everyone's favorite game, "Guess that Critter!" šŸ¢šŸ

Want to give it a try in the comments? We'll give you a hint for box number 1: "I leave hot pink bubble gum clusters wherever I go..."

Check out these highlights from our project last fall! This was our first year contributing to Snapshot USA, which has been ongoing since 2019 and aims to monitor wildlife with camera trap arrays across the US. Over 200 institutions have participated to date and Turtle Cove was very excited to take part in 2025. Already looking forward to this fall!
