Where is Elizabeth? 2024 Where is Elizabeth? was a project started by the Elizabeth McIntosh Hammill Chapter, NSDAR for the Summer of 2023.

The Dairy Industry in Virginia
Cattle were first introduced to the Virginia Colony of Jamestown in 1611. There were nearly 5,000 cattle in the colony by 1627, and 100,000 by 1665. Eventually every farm or plantation kept cows that supplied milk for home use.
